Altitude Correction
Every 500m Climbed = 1MOA High
1800m = 4MOA high (rounded up)
4MOA at 950m = 1.1m High
By using the length of the AFV, our estimation puts us at 950m. The height of the soldier gives us 947m. This gives us an average of 948.5m, so we will round up and put ourselves at 950m. Now we need to work out how the altitude will effect our shot placement. We are in Kabul, which is 1800m above sea level. The air is much thinner, meaning the projectile will travel faster through the air and impact high if we do not account for this. For every 500m climbed above sea level, on average a bullet will strike 1 minute of angle high, which means 29mm at 100m. At 1800m, we can round up to 2000m and say that our projectile will strike 4MOA high at this altitude. This means, 116mm high at 100m, or 1102mm high at 950m. Therefore, we need to aim 1.2m low, or 4MOA low to achieve our point of aim - point of impact. Confused? Study the MST Manual and then try again. If you got the answers correct, or close, then well done.
