The Horus Reticle is the most modern design in rifle scopes and optics, and appears vastly different to the traditional crosshair, immediately putting people off the reticle when is it not understood. It works on a mil-system, but allows far greater precision than any other reticle when using the scope to apply holds and leads simultaneously. This makes your shooting precise when engaging targets at multiple distances without the time to add your corrections to your target knobs, or likewise when holding for wind, or leading a target who is on the run. It also makes it easier to zero the scope, and saves you time, ammunition, and money.
Our Sniper Marksmanship manual teaches you about all the common reticle types an explains their pro's and con's. We have purchased a high quality Horus type reticle for our armoury - the Vortex PST 6-24x50, First Focal Plane EBR-2C (MRAD). This is Vortexs' own version of the Horus reticle, with MilRadian increments. If you would like any advice before purchasing a new optic, please visit our website and leave a comment.
