These externally (or sometimes internally) mounted multi-tube vehicle smoke grenade launchers enable combat vehicles to conceal themselves from threat surveillance, small arms fire, target acquisition, and weapon guidance systems. They are most commonly setup at different points of the vehicle to prove 360 degree coverage and overhead screening protection. Once deployed, they also help by concealing vehicle maneuvers and activities, and can be manually reloaded once the launchers have been deployed. Smoke grenades are muzzle-loaded into the discharge tubes, and the launchers are connected to the vehicles electrical system. Different launch systems are available, and the non-lethal grenades are low in toxicity with minimal safety hazards posed to personnel and the environment.
