The STORM - Small Tactical Optical Rifle Mounted (STORM) Micro-Laser Rangefinder (MLRF) - is a multifunctional laser system designed to operate on individual and crew served weapons, as well as the Stryker Remote Weapons Station. It is a battery operated device that houses a laser rangefinder, infrared torch and infrared aiming laser, visible aiming laser, and a Digital Magnetic Compass. When combined with a GPS, the system can compute and display highly accurate target locations. The IR illuminator and IR aiming laser allows for target acquisition and aiming in low light conditions.
