Your holdover of 1.8mils right is placed onto the targets shirt button (seen above), to achieve an exact aiming marker for precision. Remember, if you aim small, you miss small. Your elevation adjustment, whatever it may be, would normally be dialled into the scope, so for this exercise we will not worry about this. But at a range of 450m you can expect to account for a bullet drop of about 50cm (variable, dependant on your rifle, cartridge, barrel, etc). You have accounted for win by applying a holdover of 1.8mils, which has placed your barrel's line of sight 81cm to the right, allowing the wind to drift your bullet onto the target. Note: the speed wind formula is used to give you an estiamted correction for wind. In reality, your own DOPE is required.
